Privacy Policy

TempoFix is designed with privacy as a first principle. The app works entirely offline and requires no account, no sign-in, and no internet connection. We do not collect any personally identifiable information. We may collect a small amount of anonymous, aggregated usage data — with no way to tie it back to you — solely to understand how features are used and to improve the app.

TempoFix does not collect, access, or transmit any of the following:

• Your name, email address, or any contact information
• Location data of any kind
• Device identifiers or advertising IDs
• Microphone recordings (the tuner processes audio locally and in real time — nothing is saved or sent)
• Crash reports sent to our servers
• Any other personally identifiable information (PII)

All data created by TempoFix lives exclusively on your device in local app storage. This includes:

• Practice session history (dates, durations, instrument selections)
• Streak and consistency statistics
• Achievement badge progress
• Reminder schedules and preferences
• Quick Access bar configuration
• App settings and theme preference

This data is never transmitted off your device by TempoFix. If you delete the app, all locally stored data is removed with it.

The TempoFix Premium upgrade is a one-time in-app purchase processed entirely by Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play). We never receive or store your payment information. Please refer to Apple's Privacy Policy and Google's Privacy Policy for how they handle purchase transactions.

TempoFix may request the following device permissions:

• Microphone — used only by the Guitar Tuner to detect pitch in real time. Audio is processed on-device and is never recorded, stored, or transmitted.
• Notifications — used to deliver your scheduled practice reminders. Notification content is generated locally.

You can revoke either permission at any time via your device's Settings without affecting other app functionality.

To understand how features are used and where we can improve the app, we may collect minimal, anonymous, aggregated usage data using a privacy-focused analytics tool (such as Umami). This is strictly non-identifying — it is impossible to trace any event back to a specific person or device.

What may be collected:

• Which features or screens are visited (e.g., "Metronome opened", "Ear Training started")
• General session counts and feature interaction frequency
• Broad, non-specific device category (e.g., mobile vs. tablet)
• Country-level region derived from anonymized IP (the full IP address is never stored)

What is never collected through analytics:

• Any personally identifiable information
• Device identifiers, advertising IDs, or fingerprints
• Your practice content, session history, or any data you enter
• Cross-site or cross-app tracking

Analytics are used solely to make TempoFix better. We do not sell, share, or monetize this data in any form.

TempoFix does not embed advertising networks or behavioral tracking libraries. If analytics are enabled, only a privacy-focused, cookieless analytics service (such as Umami) is used — one that does not share data with third parties or use it for advertising purposes. No third party receives personally identifiable information about you.

TempoFix does not knowingly collect any information from children or adults. Because we collect no personal data whatsoever, the app is safe to use regardless of age. Parents and guardians should still review any in-app purchase settings on their child's device through Apple or Google Family controls.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected with an updated "Effective Date" at the top of this page. Continued use of the app after such changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
